Just Because flower card and inspirational banner

Today I want to share two svgs.  I've been playing with making simple flourishes in inkscape and did a card with a flourish-y border.  The card cuts out at about 5.5 by 7, score at 4.25 from the non-flourish side, then mount a piece of contrasting paper 5.5 by 4.25 to inside to show through the holes.  I used the same border to do a scrapbook base (not that I've done the scrap page yet).
I also finished up a little banner made from 4x4 coasters.  My friend found the little mirrors at Micheals on clearance so this was our way to use them up.  I've been working on some other projects with the new Giant flowers cartridge.   I will say hands down-worst cart I've ever bought.....its really the only one I've bought and been disappointed in.    Hopefully I can get at least one of the flowers done and a project completed  before I throw the cart out the window.   Thanks for looking!

SVG Labels turned into custom shapes for Photoshop / PSE

YEAH, I learned how to turn my svgs into Photoshop custom shapes!  Some are two layers: the one shape button will be the label base, then the next one will be the top so that you can digitally layer them. Today's freebie is a set of my labels I've made over the past year or so and given away, and includes a couple I made this month.  If your an svg user, don't worry, I've included the newest ones for download too!   As usual, free for one week.

Minnie Mouse cards

This is one of those carts that I almost never use.  I keep thinking I should get rid of it to make room for another one, but it is so cute....

These were all cut at 4 inch.  Thanks for looking!

Valentines day cupcake box svg freebie

This box is just the right size for a homemade cupcake.  It had one in it that I used to make the dementions...but I ate it before I could get the picture...ooops.  You can decorate it and make it cute.  I'm convinced I need create a critter images on it in order to make it cute, except I don't have that cart (yet).  You can get two of these out of a 12 x 12.  Sides are open so you can see the cute cupcake, would also be great for putting a celephane baggie of candy.

Lacy Labels Heart shaped box and cholate candy magnets

This weeks project on splitcoaststampers was a heart shaped box.  They used some spellbinders, which I don't have, but any heart shape from any cart will do.  I used the heart on Lacy Labels.  For the base I used the heart at 4 inch (shadow), for the lid I used the heart at 4, both shadow and reg for layering.    For the "box" I used the heart (reg) at 3 inch on the base, 3 inch (shadow) for the lid.  I wanted the flourish on top to sit inside a bit so I cut it at 3.25 inch and the rose is from my rolling rose post.  I skipped the hinged part of the splitcoast tutorial and did a modified version so that both top and bottom of mine have the heart box (if you do it that way, be sure to use the shadow on the upper part so it fits over the bottom part).  If  you need further explanation, let me know.   For the inside....this is my favorite part....I made little chocolates out of fimo clay. I pitted the bottom to hold a magnet (do that before you bake them..push the magnet into the clay, take out the magnet, bake, then glue the magnet in the hole) and then put them in some Wilton candy wrappers-so these are fridge magnets but they look good enough to eat!  Thanks for looking.

Scraplift Sunday : Snow Day 2012

There is just something about Sundays that makes me want to scrap.  This week I went to look at the latest sketch on one of my favorite scraplift sites and sadly learned that they will no longer be posting :(

Bummer.

Sounds like a good reason to get into my immense stash of scrapbook magazine clippings and start using them.  So, here is one that has been floating around my desk for over a year (that it never got tossed with the scraps is a miracle), it is from a Stampin Up magazine from a couple years ago.  My take on it is above.  The Brrr and hat are from Winter woodland, the mittens and background paper are Echo Park, the felt snowflake border is I think Queen and Co -I also used it on my new blog header :)

If you would like to scraplift this page along with me, please link up below so everyone can see you version! Thanks for looking!
