Scalloped Scrapbooking Mats for DS

I was looking through my Scrapbooks etc. and saw a mat I really liked, thought I'd make it and a couple others in DS. Being a hybrid scrapper (part digital - part conventional) I do my layouts in 12 x 12 in Photoshop, but then print so that the final size is 8x8. I was not thinking about that when I made these and made them for regular 12 x 12, oops. I was going to just delete the file but before I do, I thought maybe someone else would like them. They are about 11.5 x 11.5, so they could be layered on top of a 12 x12 base. There are 3 on the file, traditional scallop, open scallop, and a scallop that doesn't go to the corner (the one I saw in the magazine). These were done in GeorgeBasicShapes/DS.

Beach Seashell svg files for cricut SCAL

I have some seashell svgs to share. Each shell has the top and shadow base. I cut these about 1.5 inches all on one sheet of cream colored cardstock, then did some inking on the edges of the top pieces and on the entire bottom part. I also have a starfish, I cut it, then didn't end up needing it for the card, but file is below anyway. Thanks for looking :)

Butterfly floral card topper, corner flourish svg

I have a couple more svg's to share today, first is a butterfly/floral svg. The second is a corner flourish I made. I did cut them both, but ended up stitching on top instead of using my corners. I guess I'll save them for a rainy day :) The corners has all 4 corners on the file. Thanks for looking!

A couple summer svgs - sunflower, seashell

I've got a couple free svg's for summer, the first is a sunflower and the second is a seashell. I haven't done anything with the charm yet except cut it and ink it, but I thought I'd post the file anyway.

Matchbox for your cricut

I've noticed a flood of cute little projects lately using the matchbox (probably because of the new SU die which is $43!), so I thought it was time to make a file. The first one I did in DS (these are GEORGE only), using actual matchbox dimensions I found on the Internet. It is really cute but came out tiny......just like a real matchbox (duh). For my next one I made it 2.5 by 3 inches, perfect for one project I have in mind. For my third try I didn't know what size I wanted, so I did it as an SVG for SCAL. This allows me to make it any ol' dimension I want, however I was limited by the 12x12 space because of the lid on the mat, and also it seamed like when I made it different sizes the wrap wasn't quite right. I figure anyone who has invested in a cricut and ds and scal, probably also owns a paper cutter and you probably know how to cut a rectangle so I removed that part. So the SVG is for the bottom portion of the box only, cut any size you like, all the way to gift box size. then just wrap it in a rectangle around it. These come out great if you use double sided designer paper, very sturdy.

Happy 4th of July - ds cut files

I'm looking at the new Stand and Salute cart - hum, might have to have it. I see lots of use for it for school, my boys (they love to cut things and then make picture collages), and for making cards for my nephew who just went into the army. I think I'll wait for demand to drop down though and in the mean time I made a couple similar images. The first is a 4th title, it is sizable and includes an extra 4 for the top, it is all Plantin Schoolbook. The second is a firework. It is done in George and is not sizable, it is about 3 inches long and includes layers for red firework portion. Files are below. Have a fun, happy and safe 4th!

My newest toy and a strawberry svg

The weather has been beautiful and I've been spending all my time outside, instead of my craft room. Today was the first day I came in and played for a while and I thought I'd try drawing with my new Bamboo Pen Tablet. OMG! What fun! I see lots of possibilities for future svgs. To start, I did a strawberry so I could scrap our trip to the berry fields last week. I cut one to test and it was too big, so I thought I would make it into a quickie card. It was also a good chance to try Scratch and sniff elements . I found many strawberries on the net but I was too lazy to have another layer for seeds so this one has small holes, when cut at true size (about 1.5 inches) the wholes are more like raised bumps (seeds), so no need for another layer. Now to that scrap page.....
