Purse Card, gift card holder

Today is Moms 17th Birthday-shes a leap year baby. She wants a purse, but you just can't pick out a purse for someone else so a gift card in a purse holder will have to do. I made this Cricut .cut file using George for the purse and Plantin Schoolbook for the envelope. I used Berry Bliss double sided paper from Stampin Up! and stamped Happy Birthday (psx) inside. I added paper flowers and a rhinestone on the front for bling. This is made the size for a gift card, just attach with a sticky dot. The tab and hole are incorporated into the file, so you really just cut and fold, easy peasy!

Happy Birthday Mom!

New Cricut Expression

I got my Expression this week, I've had lots of fun playing with it. I used the Accent Essentials to make the flourish embellishment for this card I'm sending to my mom (she helped with the Expression purchase). She should get it in her mail today, Thanks Mom!

Hapeep Easter Cricut Design card

I love peeps, not just because they are tasty, but because when you see them in the store you know Spring is on the way. I've been looking for years for a Peeps rubber stamp so I could make peep cards, but I have not found one. So, great opportunity to try some welding with my new Cricut software. This is the card I came up with, the edge has to be trimmed manually so that the back matches up with the edges of the R when closed, I can't seem to figure out how to make it fit to A2 size (it ends up 4 .25 by 4.75, so it will fit in standard A2 envelope), but it is still cute and if you have a cricut/ds software you are welcome to use the .cut file below. Carts used are George and Mini-monograms. The eyes are just dotted on with brown marker, shading is done with chalks. Paper used in my example is Stampin' Up whisper white, pretty in pink, and passion pink. Happy Spring!

Splitcoaststampers Sweet Centerpeice tlc154

Mondays "Try a new Technique" Challege (thanks genie1314) was to make these little table centerpeices. I couldn't pass up a chance to make something so quick and easy-ya gotta love a project that only uses one sheet of paper and a stick! I started with with a peice of 12 x 12 paper, cut to 9x9 for the base, and used the left-overs for the flower. Petals on the flower are 3/4 inch, the center is cut with my scallop punch. I know we are supposed to stamp for the challenge but I couldn't bare to cover up this paper. They look super cute with little candies, I'm using mine for prepunched peices - with two 4 year old boys, putting out something like this with candy in it would be a disaster. I really like these and I will definately make them again, and in case you can't tell, the base is just one of those little folded forture tellers we all played with as kids, just upside down. You can check out all the great samples here:
