Couple cards and a wheelbarrow svg

Darn that Martha and her punches, every time I go into Micheals there is a new batch! Every time I go to Micheals I have a 40% off coupon I feel I can not let go to waste. UGH! I have a cricut so I could get rid of my punches but how can I not buy more when these new ones just keep coming out? So here is a card with a one of my latest ones, the large flower is her new Water Lily punch. I was there yesterday and saw ANOTHER new batch, I think I have to go back for the bird on a wire punch...I have a coupon.

Details : wheelbarrow is an svg, see below, inside reads : Hope your day is filled with Happiness (Stampin Up), flowers are from Marthas hydrangea punch. I used stickles for the centers of the flowers.

The Congratulations card reads inside : On another year of happy togetherness (also Stampin Up), the large leaf element is from Storybook cut at 4.5 inches. I used gold microbeads for the centers of the flowers.

My First Vinyl shirt done with the cricut

I have not been doing much crafting this week, instead I'm doing spring cleaning (it may be February, but by the sunshine here it feels like April). However, I thought I'd take a quick break and try out some of the vinyl I bought for shirts. I got the file on another blog last month, but it has since closed down so I can't pass on a link (sorry). This was just a test run, anyone who has done this have suggestions on getting the vinyl from the mat to the shirt? I thought it would be like normal vinyl, but NOOOO, no sticky side for transfer. Help before I do the next one would be greatly appreciated :)

Whoo needs a quick Valentines card?

I went to Micheals with the hopes that I could find an Owl-y verse stamp to use on Valentines and I found the perfect set from Hampton Arts. I made these two cards with the owls from StoryBook -and my new stamps. The first one I cut at 4.5 inches, then cut a piece of patterned paper just big enough to fit behind the scalloped frame, mounted to cardstock and then stamped. I added googly eyes and some perfect pearls dots on the scallops. The second one is also from storybook. I did the tall border function at 4 inches and then snipped off the little owl, and cut the main owl at 2 inches. I used some little hearts (punched) to cover the leaves. The last card is just stamped and traditional paper piecing with my new set (for a little boy tuning 5 this weekend). Inside the Vday cards say "I do, thats who!", and inside the Bday card says "hope its a hoot". How cute are those verses! And the whole set was $10 ($6 with my coupon). Now I'm off to work on an owl scrap page!

Home Decor Bird on a branch wall vinyl

I'm vinyl-izing my home, one room at a time. This is in my entry now. The images are all from Home Decor, the bird, branch and leaves are all separate, but then I did them together in DS, overall length is 11.5 inches (as big as I could fit on the mat). The wreath I just bought at Micheals. It is very spring-y and has sparkly clear beads on it :) Thanks for looking!

Laundry Door Vinyl

I just bought some vinyl from Stampin' Up!, it is about $12 per color and you get 2 sheets of 14 by 24. Also right now if you buy $50 from SU you get a free stamp set! The vinyl is Oracle (same brand as Cricut vinyl) and it comes with transfer paper. Personally I found using that I like clear contact paper better than transfer paper, but that's just a personal preference (I like to see through it). This was done with DS using Storybook letters and shapes from Home Accents. I cut the base with Kraft color vinyl, the the letters and vines (top layer) in Celery. Thanks for looking!

Coffee cup Valentines Day card and SCUT2 file

Here is a quick coffee cup and steam swirls I did in Illustrator (I'm taking Illustrator 101). I needed a cup to go with the background stamp. My friend had this coffee background stamp in her "get rid of" pile but I really like it so I thought I'd borrow it before she gets rid of it. This will be a Valentines Day card for a friend. The cup file is below. Thanks for looking!
